Geek Squad, service from Worst Buy

Geek Squad, see nothing, hear nothing, know nothing, service from hell. They have changed their name to Worst Buy.

In the past I have bought several service contracts for new computers from Best Buy. Now, I know Best Buy is really no longer anywhere near the real best buy, but I thought probably there Geek Squad service contracts were probably a safe bet. Wrong. I know the costs of these Geek Squad contracts on new computers are now approaching the cost of simply buying a back up drive and a new computer so money wise they are unwise. However, I foolishly assumed that their techs were knowledgeable and this would be a safe place for service. Wrong, again. I found no knowledge and no help. Only auto generated emails and service from Hell.

I bought an expensive EOS camera from Best Buy for Christmas. I bought the service contract as back up insurance against fate. Big Mistake.

One month after the purchase the lens started giving an error message. OK, I am protected by the Geek Squad, lucky me.

Take the camera back. Still within the return period. Offered repair instead of return for refund or exchange. Geek Squad is on it so lucky me. Accept repair. Big Mistake. Geek Squad from Hell now has my lens. Call this story, down the rabbit hole as that is where my lens is now. Down the black rabbit hole of the Geek Squad from Hell.

After three weeks, I have a dozen or so auto generated emails and several promises of return phone calls attempting to locate my dead lens. No service, no help, no knowledge.

So, this am, very early, I awake and check my email. Another auto generated email from the Geek Squad from Worst Buy. My problem has been resolved, my repair is complete, please take our Geek Squad from Worst Buy satisfaction survey.

So, off to Worst Buy Geek Squad from hell website to track my service. Tracking says, your lens is repaired and product has been picked up by customer. Oh, I don't remember picking up my product. Must have been sleep walking. Geek Squad, I am sure, can relate as they are Sleep Working.

So, off to call Geek Squad from hell at Worst Buy. Yes, my lens has been repaired and is being sent back to me. Are you sure? Geek Squad in the black rabbit hole where my lens disappeared is sure as she has a tracking number that says the same. OK, why did not any of these auto emails tell me that and give me the tracking number. Why did I not get that response when I tracked my repair. Oh, yes, I remember, cannot see tracks because we are now in the black rabbit hole of Worst Buy Geek Squeak service from Hell. Email me the tracking number for the package says the poor idiot who paid for this no nothing, do nothing service. Oh, says geek squad squeak, I cannot email cannot text, do you have a pen? Computer tech service has no email service, no text messaging. Oh, I forgot, we are in the black rabbit hole of hell no service, know nothing, Worst Buy Geek Squad no speak.

I doubt I will ever see or hear from my expensive camera lens again, but when day light breaks, I will try another call.

In the mean time, beware of little green men promising security. They know not of what they squeak.
